The building sits in one of Vancouver’s most desirable districts and aims to connect the old and new Mount Pleasant. It is slightly rotated to create an interesting relationship with the ground, as well as to make room for outdoor garden areas. The form reflects the context-the mass of the surrounding buildings and dominant vistas.

The appearance is dominated by a variety of transparent and solid glass panels which control light and views and optimize thermal gain. The “vertical forest” façade is created using an innovative glass system, combined with eco-friendly wood paneling integrated into glazing units. The state-of-the-art envelope with fully landscaped terraces and floating cantilevers is optimized to control the amount of sunlight that penetrates the interior and is the first of its kind in the country.
