Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has finally released a video and a few images of the world’s first full-scale, passenger-ready hyperloop confirming that the construction of their kilometer-long test track near it’s R&D center in France.

HyperloopTT will be built in two different phases. A closed 320 meter system that is said to be operational later this year, the second is a 1-kilometer-long full scale system that should be completed by the end of 2019.

This Hyperloop test track will be the third one made but the first one constructed in Europe, the other two are located in the United States. Virgin Hyperloop One’s test track was built in the desert just north of Las Vegas Nevada. The second, built by Elon Musk, is sited outside SpaceX’s headquarters in Hawthorne, California.

So far, Virgin Hyperloop One has conducted three demonstrations of its tube system outside Las Vegas and most recently hit their record speed of 240 MPH. The company producing Virgin Hyperloop One has deals with the governments in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and a plethora of leadership churn.

HyperloopTT, Elon Musk’s Hyperloop, is run solely on volunteer and crowdsourced ventures. The company brags about it’s talent from NASA, Boeing, Tesla, and SpaceX that work alongside the 800 plus volunteers that work on the project. The future of this test track is uncertain after it was revealed that the company failed to complete California’s environmental review process. HyperloopTT is led by co-founders Dirk Ahlborn, the CEO, and Bibop Gresta, the Chairman and a senior management team of experienced entrepreneurs and professionals.

“We are delighted to be working with HyperloopTT as they look to bring one of the world’s most revolutionary transportation technologies to Abu Dhabi,” said Talal Al Dhiyebi, the Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Properties. “Alghadeer sits at such a strategic point within the UAE – close to major growth areas of both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, that it makes sense to pair it with rapid transport opportunities. We believe that Hyperloop technology can have a major positive impact on the lives of all of those living within our communities, and we look forward to this possibility becoming a reality.”
