Documenting a jobsite can be tricky work, especially if you have to do it all by yourself. The difficulty of this task is only increasing with the advances the construction industry is making in the digital world. OnSiteIQ aims to make this process a simple one by providing documentation twice a month using high quality 360 degree imagery equipment to capture images of the construction site.

Co-founder and CEO of OnSiteIQ, Ardalan Khosrowpour came from a background of both technology and construction and wanted to fix the inefficiencies he saw with the documentation cycle of job sites.

“Jobsites would bring out photographers, take a bunch of photos, and those would all dump into a Dropbox,” says Khosrowpour “They’d never go back and look at it. There were also a few companies that let you manually capture the site, but it was still manual and very cumbersome.”

OnSiteIQ provides an innovative data sharing structure that enables its users to send animations and snapshots to each other. This can be extremely useful when you need to analyse the quality and safety of the construction site while monitoring it’s progress. Now you can bring the jobsite back to the office with you.

“We differentiate ourselves by offering an automatic geo-localization of the walkthroughs of the floor plan,” says Khosrowpour, “This allows us to provide clients faster and more frequent data collection. We’re also partnering with major insurance companies to enable risk quantification and control on projects to reduce injuries, losses, defects, and claims.”

OnSiteIQ was presented at the BuiltWorlds Project Conference in 2017 at Grand Central Tech in Manhattan. This conference is made to discuss the emerging technologies that are meant to augment city planning and architecture. OnSiteIQ took second in the NYC Startup Challenge which is a shark tank style pitching session where the CEO’s of 5 different technology startups present their projects to a panel of judges. The winner attends the year’s Buildworld Summit which is a prime opportunity for the winning company to reach new clientele and potential investors.

Construction companies around New York are already using OnSiteIQ on the job sites today. “New LIne Structures is very excited about our collaboration with OnSiteIQ for 360-degree photography and taking advantage of the latest technologies to help us better monitor progress in the field,” said Sal Bousleiman the Project Executive and Director of Project Controls for a New Line Structures, “Ardalan and his team have done great progress with the platform and have been continually adding exciting new futures.”
