We have been on the search for a very long time for a program that will assist us with take-offs and estimating with a history module. We are a small GC company but do a large volume of work in all fields. We can see how PlanSwift could be a benefit to us 50% of the time, but our biggest hurdle is that we don’t receive drawn plans for 50% or more of our estimates. Just last week a call came in to look at an office remodel with HVAC but no plans are available. Tammy, For those jobs that don’t have plans or are small enough to not have plans, do you draw a quick sketch first (really you could ddraw rooms as area’s inside of PlanSwift, it allows directional distance of areas and such)? If you have a local reporgraphic house or a good camera PlanSwift can also help. You can use a scan or a photo as the plan sheet. You can easily manually scale each plans / sheet vertically and horizontally. This is especially helpful with scans and photos as their scale is often stretched one way or the other.
