We’ve all heard the horror stories, headline “some poor construction worker loses a finger on the job.” All you can do is hope that isn’t you one day. Protecting your feet at a job site is no problem in the 21st century. Boots that have a built in toe protection are now required by most construction companies. Who ever thought too much protection could be a bad thing? With too much protection, gloves immobilize the hand and leaves you unable to use your tools properly. How to: avoid work related injuries
Jorge Sgombich displayed his award-winning safety gloves in Santiago in July of 2016. These gloves are said to protect workers hands from work related injuries, primarily for the construction industry. The gloves or, AB5 Safety Glove Mark VII, are a special modification of normal safety work gloves with extra protection added to the fingertips.
Sgombich stated that the scope for the Mark VIII glove ranges “from maintenance and operation to entire industries such as mining, forestry and the fishing industry. They can be used for domestic activities in general, for any activity where there is a degree of exposure to an accident involving the hands.”
In June of 2016 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the Mark VII gloves won a gold medal at the Invention & New Product Exposition in the “Safety and Security-Personal” category. The gloves come in four different varieties ranging from nitrile gloves with a short cuff kidskin to leather gloves with a long cuff for things like welding.

How do Mark VII gloves work?
Mark VIII safety gloves are made from a shatter proof thermoplastic material that covers the fingertips and the top of the glove. This lets the finger pads free to keep mobility in the hands as well as keep the sensitivity.
