What Auto Count does

Choose one object on your plan, and Auto Count finds matching symbols across the pages you select.
Match by shape or label
Choose whether to identify matches by the symbol’s shape, its label text, or both, depending on the plan detail you need to find.
Count across multiple pages
Select up to 10 pages in one run to get a consolidated count without repeating the same search page by page.
Apply results to a new or existing takeoff item
Send the results to a new takeoff item or add them to an existing one so your counts stay connected to the estimate.
Best fit for doors & windows, electrical devices, plumbing fixtures, and any recurring symbol you already flag by hand.
How Auto Count Works

Select your symbol
Open Auto Count from the PlanSwift Home tab and draw a box around the fixture, device, door, window, or other object you want to find.

Choose your match and pages
Select a new or existing takeoff item, choose shape or label matching, and select up to 10 pages for processing.

Review and adjust the count
Auto Count adds the results to your takeoff so you can verify the matches and make any needed changes before pricing.
